You made it! Just a couple of more days and the most wonderful time of the year will come to a close. Holiday cheer is everywhere you turn and although it can be a great feeling, it can also be exhausting. Here is this weekend’s anti-holiday activity list to get you through the Yule tide finish line.

What: Wing Sauce Debut

When: Friday, December 23, 9pm

Where: BrickHouse Brewery & Restaurant, Patchogue

What’s Up: Before you sit down to feast on a holiday ham or a warm stack of latkes, check out BrickHouse’s new spicy wing sauce called, “Zombie,” and their mild wing sauce called, “Zombaby.” Try them both and buy a bottle of the best one on your way out. What: Just a Hike (Serpentine)

When: Saturday, December 24, 10:30am

Where: Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve, Lloyd Harbor

What’s Up: Take the time and explore by guided-tour the beautiful wooded areas of Caumsett State Park. Questions are more than welcomed, however instruction and formal discussion will be limited on this hike because the focus is on embracing the surrounding nature. When: Every Sunday through March 19, 8am

Where: Old Depot Park, Rocky Point

What’s Up: Take the morning and check out some of the finest local Long Island products. Find some of the brightest winter produce to make an unforgettable family breakfast or beautiful hand-crafted jewelry to complete your last minute stocking stuffers.
